In this blog post, we present the video of our first session with Aisha. A very productive session, in an exceptional location, and in which we did not stop laughing between constant jokes, which made the day seem more like a leisure activity than a job.

My first sessions with a new model are always a tutorial to show them our particular way of working. In the end, taking photos that compete with the best in the microstock world is not an easy task, nor is it cheap.
During all these years, every time I have had to do a first session with a new model, I have done it indoors, in our studio because it was much easier to control the parameters of the session and to focus on learning the model.

But as a result of the fact that in the last year I have had to take a lot of photographs in the studio due to the fact that because of the covid it was not possible to go outside, for a few months now I have decided to start doing the first sessions of new models on location. Although it complicates my work and the learning of the model a lot, since it is necessary to add displacements, inclement weather, cold and other parameters and added difficulties, it is much more enjoyable, fun and also surprising in some cases, to do it in places as beautiful as the one we chose this time.

In this case, we have not only recorded how we did the shoot but also an interview in which Aisha tells us first hand how she felt, what the benefits of being a model are, how she enjoyed it, what she thought about working with us and much more.
We did the shoot in a beautiful marsh that is an hour and a half by van from Barcelona, and it is our model who will be telling you during the video what we did and how.

We were also lucky that the day was perfect. Not only we had sun all day but also the temperature was very warm despite being in November.
Right from the beginning of the session the good atmosphere and complicity were evident in a tremendously fun session in which we didn’t stop laughing and enjoying ourselves. It was one of those sessions in which you work, you take pictures that look great but you never have the feeling that you have been working.

Thanks to the good temperature we were able to take pictures in summer clothes during the whole session, which makes it easier for us to sell these pictures all year round.
Joke after joke and laughter after laughter the session went on without any problems until the sun went down behind the mountain, the temperature started to drop a lot and we started to record the interview.

I’m not going to tell you anything about the interview as it’s better if you watch it in full in the video, but it tells us some very interesting things about modelling and about our way of working in particular.
